2024 – The Traveller

Solo Exhibition in Joes Lounge at Gibsons Public Art Gallery in 2024.

The Traveller is a collection of abstract art pieces that depict the story of the internal struggle we have as we purse the question what it is to be human as we travel from birth to death in this physical body and surrender into the eternal realm. It asks us to think about how we live before life comes to a close and explores some of the emotions we face on the way. I think we all need to ask ourselves at some point what we believe on the inside. I believe there is a plan, and only through surrendering to the process can we live life more fully carrying out what we are meant to do for the brief time that our feet walk the earth.

Using intuition, these paintings came to me. I was only the vehicle by which they manifested.  Sometimes the painting called me to wait many months before it could be completed. Other times it came together in a flurry.  Somewhere along the line a name for each piece came to me. I became very interested in seeing what this process was/is saying to me and I began to look up the symbolism that is clearly visible in the paintings.
