Birth,the beginning of everything

This painting speaks about entering this world through an act of passion with the newness and purity of a fresh start. Red is representational of passion and energy, while yellow is cheerful and expresses warmth. Red squares are said to represent the foundation of your life - your house, community, family, finances, basic survival and symbolic of how secure we feel in our physical reality.

Love and pain

This painting breathes the depth of love for others and self being a beautiful mystery. The white lines represent the purity as we give ourselves over to the notion of love, building castles in the air, hoping, believing and representational of the truth. Love can also be painful at times. Purple is representational of spirituality and mystery. The color purple encourages self-knowledge, deepening our understanding of our innermost thoughts. It calls for spiritual growth and offers guidance in our personal pursuits, keeping the mind, body, and soul in harmony.

Questioning everything

This painting whispers the questions in our minds…Why are we here? Why am I here, what is my purpose? Why is there pain and suffering? Is there a God? What am I meant to learn? There are so many questions thing we grapple with throughout our lives, it is difficult to trust and believe in the process of life. The two faces are representational of the two minds we find ourselves in before coming to terms with what we believe. Blue represents peace and the underlying sadness one holds as we move between the past and the future. Painted in 2023.

Fear and indecision

This painting speaks about fear and its ability to immobilize us when we want change but are unable to proceed. The faces are broken depicting the struggle in transition. Brown is grounding while turquoise represents calmness and growth. The dots represent God, one source or consciousness. Painted in 2023.

Joy and indifference

This painting talks about our being so full of happiness, yet indifferent to the pain of others around us depicted in the black shadow of a face. Orange symbolizes optimism and enthusiasm, yet also represent impatience and dominance, while black is symbolic of an unwillingness to divulge our innermost thoughts. Painted in 2023.

Broken

This painting cries out into the darkness as pain manifests itself through our bodies, our spirits and there is a deep heaviness as we move through life. The intersecting lines slashing through one another represent pain within the subconscious and is enhanced with red. While the browns are grounding, representing a move into a more balanced state. Hopeful transition

This painting joyfully announces positive change, freedom and fullness of life. The bloom of color represents the change into a more positive state, a place where the brokenness of the past is no longer painful. Amber is the color of joy, security, energy, and positivity.
